IPMS - Integrated Pest Management System

Integrated Pest Management System, IPMS, is a client-server software suite specifically designed to meet all of the accounting needs of Pest Control and Lawn Care organizations. Basic functions include Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Checkbook reconciliation, General Ledger and Payroll. Any number of services may be scheduled within a number of days, weeks, months or years including seasonal restrictions. Most reports may be "printed" to a spreadsheet file or PDF without any additional software needed.

Payroll supports direct-deposit, EFT payment of withholding, electronic filing of W-2 statements to the SSA, automatic filling of many common IRS forms (including 940 and 941) and single-sheet laser W-2 forms. All federal and state-level withholding tax formulas are maintained as part of your support agreement at no additional cost.

Although the server component requires a single Linux-based server to support multi-user and multi-client installations, the client component is available for both Linux and Windows. This permits use of aging hardware which may not be suitable for more recent Windows versions. The server machine may also be used as a client as well. Unlike many of our competitors, all of your information is located on your own server and under your own control. Internet access is not required but recommended for remote maintenance, remote backup, map lookup and general ease of use.

Forms & Supplies

PCDS is a full-service supplier of forms and related supplies. Most of the forms used by IPMS are available in stock generic versions resulting in a considerable savings over custom printed forms.

Computers & Printers

PCDS also sells computer systems, printers and other associated peripherals. For most installations, we recommend a Linux-based server computer and a continuous-duty commercial grade impact printer for multi-part forms. Computer systems are priced when ordered but a standard server typically costs around $500 without a monitor. Good impact printers typically start at about $725.

Any server purchased from us will include at least one parallel printer port for an impact printer, a dual-core CPU and sufficent memory and hard disc storage to run even a large scale operation. We also preinstall the operating system, IPMS and configure it for secure remote maintenance and local network services. Once received, a few changes to your router and you'll be able to install workstations from the new server and be ready to use the system.

All impact printers are not created equal. Besides the basic print speed, the slew rate (how fast it can move the paper) is just as important. Most off-the-shelf printers are also not designed to print continuously -- you must give them time to cool off. This is why we only sell commercial grade equipment.

Training

We offer training for our software both in our facility and at your location. Experience has shown that training performed at our location is much more successful since personel aren't interrupted by the day-to-day office activities and they are better able to concentrate on learning. It's also better to delay in-depth training until new users have become familiar with the basic interface of the software. This allows them to focus on taking full advantage of it's capabilities.

When performed at our location, the cost is $100 per day. At your location, costs are $250 per day plus mileage and lodging expenses incurred. As previously mentioned, training on-site tends to be less successful. Making arrangements for handling incoming calls and other office interruptions is strongly advised.

Remote Backup Services

PCDS provides a remote-backup service to replace or supplement backups made on site. This is performed automatically in the early AM hours and checked by PCDS staff every morning to insure your information is safe and secure. All database information and local files are encrypted before transmission making it virtually impossible for anyone to intercept and decode the data. For further security, no keys capable of decoding any database are present at the repository's location.
